# Contract IP Groups

> View which IP groups a specific contract belongs to

## Overview

The **IP Groups** tab on a contract's detail page shows all IP groups that this specific contract is part of. This gives you a contract-centric view of relationships, showing the contract's IP origin, siblings, and downstream licenses within each group.

<Info>
For a comprehensive explanation of IP Groups, siblings, IP origin, downstream licenses, and revenue allocation, see the main [IP Groups](/projects/contracts/ip-groups) documentation.

## What You'll See

### Group Membership

A contract can belong to **multiple IP groups**. For example, an Exclusive Recording Agreement (ERA) might appear in several groups - one for each track where collaborators have their own agreements.

Each group entry shows:

* The group name and type
* This contract's role (IP origin, sibling, or downstream license)
* Other contracts in the same group
* Revenue allocations specific to this group

### Relationships

Within each group, you'll see:

| Section | Shows |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **IP Origin** | Agreements from which this contract derives rights |
| **Siblings** | Other contracts covering the same IP or referencing this one |
| **Downstream Licenses** | Contracts that sublicense from this IP group |

### Allocations

For sibling groups, the allocation section shows how revenue flows for assets shared within this group, including this contract's participation rate and whether it uses its own rules or inherits from another contract.

### Reversion Dates

Sibling groups also include a **Reversion Dates** section showing consolidated end-of-term and reversion dates across the group — rights end, agreement end, option window, collection end, and retention end. See the [main IP Groups documentation](/projects/contracts/ip-groups#reversion-dates) for details on each date kind.

## Navigating IP Groups

From the contract's IP Groups tab, you can:

* Click any related contract to view its details
* Expand group reasoning to see why contracts were grouped together
* View allocation details for each shared asset

To see all IP Groups across your project, navigate to **Contracts** → **IP Groups**.
