What are Custom Views?

Custom views allow you to create personalized displays of your contract data with specific columns, filters, and sorting. This helps you quickly access the information you need without scrolling through all your documents.

Default Views

Smart Drive includes several built-in views:

Creating a Custom View

Open View Settings

Click the Views dropdown in the toolbar and select Manage Views.

Create New View

Click Create View and enter a name for your view.

Select Columns

Choose which data columns to display from the available fields.

Configure Filters

Add filters to show only contracts matching specific criteria.

Set Sorting

Define how contracts should be sorted (by date, name, type, etc.).

Save View

Save your view to access it anytime from the Views dropdown.

Available Columns

You can include columns from any extracted field category:

Contract Information

  • Language
  • File Name
  • File Date
  • File Extension
  • Tags

  • Primary Entity
  • Secondary Entities
  • Contracting Parties

Dates

  • Execution Date

Column Options

For each column, you can configure:

Display Settings

  • Column Width - Fixed or auto-fit
  • Alignment - Left, center, or right
  • Format - Date format, number format, etc.

Data Options

  • Aggregation - Sum, count, average for numeric fields
  • Grouping - Group rows by column values

Filters

Filter Types

Creating Filters

Add Filter

Click Add Filter in the view settings.

Select Field

Choose which field to filter on.

Choose Operator

Select the comparison operator (equals, contains, etc.).

Enter Value

Specify the filter value.

Filter Groups

Combine multiple filters with AND/OR logic:
(Contract Type = "Recording Agreement" AND Entity = "Sony Music")
OR
(Contract Type = "Distribution Agreement")

Sorting

Single Column Sort

Click any column header to sort by that column. Click again to toggle between ascending and descending.

Multi-Column Sort

For complex sorting:

Open Sort Settings

Click Sort in the toolbar.

Add Sort Levels

Add multiple columns to sort by in priority order.

Set Direction

Choose ascending or descending for each level.

Expiring Contracts

A view showing contracts expiring soon:

Sharing Views

Views can be shared with your team:

Open View Settings

Click the settings icon on your custom view.

Set Visibility

Choose Private (only you) or Team (all project members).

Save

Team members will see the view in their Views dropdown.

Exporting View Data

Export data from any view:

Apply Your View

Select the view you want to export.

Click Export

Click Export in the actions menu.

Choose Format

Select CSV, Excel, or PDF.

Download

The file downloads with only the visible columns and filtered data.
