Overview

Creating a project sets up a dedicated workspace for managing contracts, catalog, and statements. Only organization Admins and Owners can create new projects. Create Project

Creating a Project

Navigate to Projects

Go to your organization home and view the Projects tab.

Click the + Card

Click the + card to start the project creation wizard.

Enter Project Name

Choose a descriptive name for your project (e.g., “Artist Name Catalog” or “Publishing Division”).

Set Up Entity

Enter the name of your primary entity (your company name) for this project.

Complete Setup

The project will be created and you’ll be redirected to the projects list.

Project Setup Wizard

The setup wizard guides you through two essential steps:

Step 1: Project Name

Enter a name that clearly identifies the project’s purpose:

Step 2: Primary Entity

Enter your company or organization name. This becomes the primary entity for the project and is used to:
  • Identify your role in contracts
  • Set up default party associations
  • Configure “You” entity badge

After Project Creation

Once your project is created, you can:

Upload Contracts

Add contracts to Smart Drive for AI extraction.

Build Catalog

Set up recordings and compositions.

Configure Settings

Set up project preferences and aliases.

Invite Team

Add team members to the project.

Organization Members cannot create projects. Contact an Admin or Owner if you need a new project created.

Project Limits

Depending on your plan, there may be limits on:
  • Number of projects per organization
  • Storage per project
  • Team members per project
Contact support if you need to increase your limits.

Troubleshooting

You may not have Admin or Owner permissions. Check your organization role in Settings > Members.
Ensure you have a valid project name (no special characters) and your organization hasn’t reached its project limit.
The entity represents your company. Use your official business name or the name you want to appear on contracts.
