What are General Settings?

General Settings allow you to manage the basic configuration of your project, including its name, description, and other fundamental properties.

Editing Project Information

Navigate to Settings

Go to SettingsGeneral.

Edit Fields

Click on any field to edit.

Save Changes

Changes are saved automatically.

Project Aliases

Aliases help with matching and identification of “you” to entities across the platform.

What are Aliases?

Aliases are alternative names for your project that help:
  • Match incoming statements to the correct project
  • Improve search results
  • Handle variations in naming

Managing Aliases

Go to Aliases Section

Scroll to the Aliases section in General Settings.

Add Alias

Click Add Alias and enter the alternative name.

Remove Alias

Click the X next to any alias to remove it.

Common Alias Uses

Project Access

Changing Visibility

Go to Access Section

Find Access settings in General.

Select Visibility

Choose the appropriate level.

Confirm

Confirm the change.
Changing to Organization visibility gives all org members access to project data.

Project Status

Deleting a Project

Go to Project Status

Find Status section in General Settings.

Click Archive

Select Delete Project.

Confirm

Confirm deletion (can not reversed).

Danger Zone

Leave Project

Remove yourself from the project:

Scroll to Danger Zone

Find the Danger Zone section.

Click Leave Project

Select Leave Project.

Confirm

Confirm that you want to leave.
You will lose all access to project data. Another admin must re-invite you.

Delete Project

Permanently delete the project and all data:

Click Delete Project

In Danger Zone, click Delete Project.

Type Confirmation

Type the project name to confirm.

Confirm Delete

Click Delete to permanently remove.
This action is irreversible. All contracts, statements, catalog items, and settings will be permanently deleted.

Best Practices

Update project description and details when things change.
Include all variations of your project/artist name as aliases.
