How Entity–Payee Linking Works

In Curve, parties you pay are represented as payees. In Royaltyport, the party on the other side of a payee link can be any of: an entity (from your CRM: labels, distributors, collecting societies, etc.), an artist, a writer, or a relation. Each link connects one Curve payee to exactly one of these Royaltyport party types so that contract and royalty data is sent to the correct party in Curve.

Linked Tab

Under LinksEntitiesLinked you’ll see:
Row typeDescription
LinkedA Royaltyport party (entity, artist, writer, or relation) is linked to a Curve payee.
Unlinked Royaltyport EntityAn entity in Royaltyport with no linked Curve payee.
Unlinked Curve PayeeA payee in Curve with no linked Royaltyport party.
Columns include Entity (Royaltyport), Payee (Curve), Reason, and Actions. You can filter by entity name, payee name, and row type (All, Linked, Unlinked Royaltyport Entities, Unlinked Curve Payees).

Actions on the Linked Tab

  • Linked rowsUnlink (with confirmation) to remove the link. Edit is disabled once linked.
  • Unlinked Royaltyport entityLink (pencil) opens the edit modal to choose a Curve payee for this entity.
  • Unlinked Curve payeeLink (pencil) opens the edit modal to choose a Royaltyport entity for this payee.

Suggested Tab

The Suggested tab shows automatically suggested matches between Royaltyport entities and Curve payees. Suggestions are based on matching logic (e.g. exact name, linked names, or fuzzy matching). For each suggestion you can:
  • Approve — Create the link and move the row to the Linked tab.
  • Reject — Dismiss the suggestion; the entity and payee remain unlinked and may appear as unlinked rows on the Linked tab.

Manual Linking (Edit Modal)

When you click Link on an unlinked entity or payee, a modal opens:
  • Entity mode — The Royaltyport party (entity, artist, writer, or relation) is fixed; you choose a Curve payee from a searchable dropdown. Only unlinked payees are shown.
  • Payee mode — The Curve payee is fixed; you choose a Royaltyport party: an entity, or an artist, writer, or relation (shown with [Artist], [Writer], [Relation] prefixes). Only unlinked parties are shown.
If the system has a suggested match, it may be pre-selected with a reason. You can keep it or pick a different payee/entity. Saving creates the link.

Party types on the Royaltyport side

The dropdown when linking to Royaltyport can include:
  • Entities — From your project’s CRM (companies, labels, distributors, etc.).
  • Artists — Shown as [Artist] followed by the name.
  • Writers — Shown as [Writer] followed by the name.
  • Relations — Shown as [Relation] followed by the name (e.g. sub-publishers, administrators).
Each link stores exactly one of these: one Curve payee is linked to one entity, or one artist, or one writer, or one relation. This ensures every party that might need to be a payee in Curve can be linked from Royaltyport.
