Overview

Sorting helps you organize contracts in the order most useful for your work. Sort by any field in ascending or descending order.

Adding Sorts

Click Sort

Click the Sort button in the toolbar.

Select Field

Choose which field to sort by.

Choose Direction

Select ascending (A-Z, oldest first) or descending (Z-A, newest first).

Default Sort

By default, contracts are sorted by Created At in descending order (newest first). This shows your most recently uploaded contracts at the top.

Changing Sort Direction

Toggle between ascending and descending:
  1. Click the Sort button
  2. Click the direction toggle next to the active sort field
  3. The arrow indicates current direction:
    • ↑ Ascending
    • ↓ Descending

Table View Sorting

In Table View, you can also sort by clicking column headers:
  1. Click any column header to sort by that column
  2. Click again to toggle direction
  3. An arrow indicator shows current sort

Sort Persistence

Your sort preferences are saved:
  • Per project - Each project maintains its own sort settings
  • Per view - Custom views save their sort configuration
  • Auto-saved - Changes persist automatically

Combining Sorts with Filters

Sorts work together with filters:
  1. Apply filters to narrow down contracts
  2. Apply sorts to order the filtered results
  3. Both settings persist together in custom views

Best Practices

Use “Created At” or “Upload Date” descending to see newest contracts first.
Sort by “Expiration Date” ascending to see soonest-expiring contracts first.
Create custom views with appropriate sorts for different workflows.
