What are Files?
The Files section is your central repository for all uploaded royalty statements. Here you can view, organize, and manage statement files along with their processing status and metadata.List View
The files list displays:
You can switch between Table View (default) and Card View from the toolbar. Use filters, sorts, and bulk actions to organize and act on your statements.
Processing Status
When a statement has Errors or Failed status and error details are available, the status badge is clickable. Click it to open a popover showing each error with the processing step where it occurred and a description of the issue. This helps you understand what went wrong before deciding whether to re-upload the statement.
Extraction Score
For processed statements, the Status column shows an extraction score badge (0–100%) that indicates how well the extraction matched your statement. Use it to spot statements that may need a closer look.
On the statement detail page, click the score badge in the header to open the View Scores panel. It shows the overall verdict at the top — the total score plus how many checks failed or warned — followed by any Document Cross Checks, then Sheet Cross Checks, and finally a Phase Checks breakdown, with the worst-scoring phases listed first so problems surface immediately:
The Scan, Parse, and Map phases are grouped together under Phase Checks, below the two cross-check sections.
Expand any group to see each individual rule that ran, its pass/warn/fail verdict, and a plain-language message explaining what it checked. Statements that score below the quality threshold are also flagged on the project Dashboard Reviews tab.
Scoring can be re-run on its own — without re-extracting the file — using Retry Score in the statement’s Actions menu. See Reprocessing.
Content Types
Each statement shows which kinds of data were detected. These appear as badges in the Content column and can be used to filter the list:
A statement can contain one or more of these types. Use the File Contents filter to show only statements that include a specific type.
Statement Scenario
During extraction, Royaltyport classifies each statement into a scenario — a category that captures the kind of statement it is, based on its source and structure (for example, its distribution or publishing family). Once a statement has been classified, its scenario family appears as a label in the Statement column, next to the accounting period and statement type.The scenario is detected automatically as part of processing — there is nothing to configure. Statements uploaded before this feature, or those still processing, simply show no scenario label. When more than one scenario is detected, the highest-confidence family is shown.
Individual File Actions
The per-row actions menu offers View and Edit only. Download (download original file) and Delete (remove file and all associated data) are available as bulk actions on selected statements, not from the per-row menu. Re-scoring (Retry Score) and the raw data viewer are available from the statement detail page.
